Free Voter Education For Future Voters
The Westside Baptist Church - Social Justice Ministry, Black Women Community Power of Denton County, and the Denton County Elections Board are hosting a non-partisan voter education class for our future voters, ages 15-18.
The class will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Denton County Elections Office 701 Kimberly Drive Denton, TX. 76208. The class will provide an introduction to voter registration and a walk thru of the voting process.
Slots are limited to 10 students per class which will last for 45 minutes each. Only one class needs to be attended. There will be six (6) separate classes between 9AM and 3PM. Sign up can be for any of the sessions. Due to social distancing protocol, there will be 15 minutes devoted to sanitizing between classes. All class attendees must wear a mask.
Community Service Hours.
Student who pre-register and attend the Free Voter Education Class will receive a certificate for 3 hours of community service. This is a great opportunity to engage high schoolers in the voting process.
